Formula Won - boxed set
An easy to learn board-game that allows you to recreate any season of F1 racing since it first began in 1950. This is a simple dice game that rates over one hundred drivers (including every champion) on their career performances; Jack Brabham, Ayrton Senna & Michael Schumacher are just three of the drivers to be found in this game. Kids love this one, so you can pretend that you bought it for them.
Contents include rulebook, race map, 2 dice, 20 plastic cars.
Softcover, 157 pages.
Difficulty Level: ★
20 plastic cars: $5.00
50 plastic cars: $10.00
10 1/300 scale die-cast metal cars: $10.00
The 20 plastic cars included in the boxed set consist of two each of the colours black; white; silver; dark blue and sky blue. There is also three or four each of red, green and yellow. There are enough pieces to play most seasons, although 1984-86 marginally exceed this figure.
The bags of accessories are surplus stock and mostly include only green cars, although some bags may also have red. These extra pieces are useful if you wish to play multiple seasons and can be hand painted or sprayed to suit your requirements.
Metal cars are unpainted.
Photo example: Ayrton Senna takes the early lead in a 1989 race, closely pursued by both Williams while Prost in the other McLaren is sandwiched between the Ferraris of Mansell and Berger. Martin Brundle and Philippe Alliot have had shocking starts at the back of the grid, although not as bad as Warwick, Johansson and de Cesaris, who have crashed on the first corner.
